<p>The ambassadors of the 1st Senior High School of Karditsa had a meeting to talk and decide on the problems having to do with dropping out. Some students came up with very interesting and bright ideas and suggestions. They talked about improvements and changes many of which, unfortunately, do not depend on teachers themselves but on the educational system imposed by the Greek Ministry of Education. So we had to focus on problems and solutions, which we ourselves (both teachers and students) might be able to trace, classify and try to alter. We decided that we could focus on<br class="autobr" /> a. improving the relationship between students and teachers (parents included)<br class="autobr" /> b. offering students better professional orientation pointing out how important it is to be high <br class="autobr" /> school graduate for the work market <br class="autobr" /> c. making more cultural visits in museums and theatres and generally places of art, music and so <br class="autobr" /> on and <br class="autobr" /> d. paying more attention to complying with the school rules especially the ones having to do with <br class="autobr" /> discipline, as in Greece schools are often occupied by number of students (a kind of riot) <br class="autobr" /> remaining closed and inaccessible for some days.</p>
